Access to Patras & the University of Patras (Rio Campus)
Patras is one of the largest cities in Greece and offers easy access from Athens and other major Greek cities. The University of Patras is located in Rio, approximately 8 km from the city center, and is easily accessible by all means of transportation.

By Car
Patras is directly connected to Athens via the Olympia Odos highway (A8). The journey takes approximately 2–2.5 hours. The city offers adequate parking facilities both in the city center and in surrounding areas.
By Intercity Bus (KTEL)
Frequent intercity bus services operate between Patras and Athens (Kifissos Bus Station), as well as other major cities in Greece. The main KTEL bus station in Patras is located close to the city center.
By Train
Patras is served by the Suburban Railway (Proastiakos), operating on the Patras–Kiato route, with connections to Athens.
By Air
Araxos Airport (GPA) is located approximately 45 km from Patras and serves selected domestic and international flights, mainly during the tourist season.
By Ferry
The Port of Patras is a major gateway between Greece and Italy, with regular ferry connections to Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, and Venice.

From Patras City Center
The University of Patras is approximately 15–20 minutes from the city center.

Public transport: Frequent bus routes operated by Patras Urban Transport connect the city center with the University (routes to Rio / University).

Taxi: Taxi services are readily available, with an approximate travel time of 15 minutes.

By car: Access is via the Patras–Corinth National Road. Parking areas are available on campus.
From Araxos Airport
Access to the University of Patras is by road, with a travel time of approximately 50–60 minutes.

The facilities of the University of Patras are designed to accommodate participants with mobility impairments. Ramps, elevators, and accessible infrastructure are available in the main event areas.
